My father has been a pastor for over 30 years, and one of his all-time favorite subjects is prayer. If you ask him, the best way to pray is to go back to what he calls “The Bible’s Prayer Manual,” the Psalms. Find out how these ancient songs can aid your prayer life today!

Thank you for your podcast. I just listened from sunny & cold Tokyo, Japan! I appreciate your dad redirecting us to not just a book by a Christian author, but directly to the Bible to know how to pray and what and how to pray. I’m in a transition from moving from Moscow to Tokyo and now empty nester and as you can imagine I feel I have lost structure in my life. I need to press on for this fresh start and see where God is leading and what His purposes are for me. I will start with Psalms. It is been refreshing listening to you guys!
Hey… was that a squeaky dog toy in the background? Cute!
Good Stuff! I definitely look at Psalms differently. Bring him on again!
This is something I keep coming back to! Praying scripture. We studied it and put it into practice briefly at a bible study I attend. My best friends church sings the Psalms every Sunday, which is always amazing to be part of. I think it’s definitely something we have lost in our more “modern” churches. I’d love to hear more of what your Dad (or anyone else) has to say on this subject! It’s encouraged me to get back into praying the Psalms, among other scriptures. Thank you!
